Desde el consulado de Italia en Argentina, más precisamente desde la Secretaría Consular para la Concordia de los Pueblos,  recibimos una violenta carta documento intimándonos a informar que Lagrange no nació en Buenos Aires, ni en Tacuarembó, ni en Toulouse, como quiere la leyenda. Por el contrario, Giuseppe Lodovico Lagrangia (Joseph-Louis Lagrange para la fama) nació en la ciudad de Turín, más conocida en el mundo como La capital automovilística de Italia, y de ahí el dicho popular “Lagrangia guida meglio ogni giorno”.
